CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a non-invasive, hands-on therapy that aims to enhance the body's own healing capabilities. This light touch releases restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system. It is said to affect the pressure and circulation of cerebrospinal fluid, which is the fluid around the brain and spinal cord. This process is thought to relieve pain and dysfunction. CST can be seen as both a standalone treatment or can be used in conjunction with medical or other alternative therapies.

FAQ

What is CranioSacral Therapy (CST)?

CST is a gentle, hands-on approach that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance. Using a soft touch, practitioners release restrictions in the soft tissues that surround the central nervous system.

How does CST work?

Your practitioner will use his hands to evaluate the craniosacral system by gently feeling various locations of your body to test for the ease of motion and rhythm of the cerebrospinal fluid pulsing around the brain and spinal cord. Soft-touch techniques are then used to release restrictions in any tissues influencing the craniosacral system.
