Tom Wheeler

Personal Trainer & Fitness Consultant

I have spent most of my life on skis, both behind the boat and on the snow.

As a competitive water skier for most of my life, I realized early on, the importance of cardiovascular fitness, power and whole body functional strength. This is what I have based my approach to training on.

As I began my career, I quickly realized that the fitness industry has become needlessly complicated. You will hear a lot of fitness professionals spewing all sorts of different theories, techniques and diets that are supposed to be the optimal path to fitness. This "flavor of the month" approach to fitness tends to leave people confused and frustrated.

Fitness is simple. You get out of it what you put into it.

My balanced, realistic, safe yet intense approach to training, has been helping my clients meet & exceed their goals here at the Cambridge Club for the past 20 years.

BEST PIECE OF ADVICE HE'S EVER RECEIVED:

Whether in sport or in life, respect the process, regardless of the outcome.

FAVOURITE WORKOUT SONG:

"Won't Look Back" - Atmosphere
"Walk the Walk" - Face to Face
"Bro' Hymn" - Pennywise

FAVOURITE CHEAT MEAL:

My wife is a clinical psychologist who specializes in eating disorders, so we don't believe in dieting. As a result, there is no such thing as a "cheat meal." Everything is good in moderation.
